Chef Gilbert Decourt, a graduate of the Culinary Institute in Nice, France, made Lafayette his home over 30 years ago and has been pleasing Cajun palates ever since. Using his work in various area restaurants, research test kitchens, and even ULL’s Restaurant Administration Program, he has honed his culinary talents and received over 20 prestigious awards - including:
- Gold and Silver Culinary Classic medals
- Special award, National Chef’s Convention, Canada
- Chef of the Year
His boundless talents and creativity make him the pride of Artisan Creative Catering. As head chef, Gilbert Decourt is dedicated to each and every detail while creating innovative presentations and spectacular events.
A renowned caterer, Joe Broussard, has had a long and successful history with the CAJUNDOME since it’s opening in 1985. During his 30 years in the business, Joe has won numerous medals at Culinary Classic for his original recipes as well as had his recipes featured in Southern Living Magazine. He has been co-chair, Treasurer and President of the Acadiana Chapter of the American Culinary Federation at which time he has helped organize the Culinary Classic which benefits Stuller Place.
Joe is also the Lieutenant in the Mystick Krewe of Louisianians and arranges catering, bands and the royal courts for the nationally famous Washington D.C. Mardi Gras.
