Safety Rules & Height Requirements

Please be advised that children under 42” may be required to ride some of the rides with a paying adult.

OUR RIDES

  • For your Safety, all rides at Gold Star Amusements have height requirements.
  • Follow all posted signage and please listen to the instructions given by the ride operator at all times.
  • Remain seated and restrained and keep your arms, legs and head inside the ride at all times.
  • Remove all loose articles, such as sunglasses, cell phones, hats, open-toed shoes and jewelry that may have the potential to fall off during the ride. We are not responsible for lost articles.
  • NO SELFIE STICKS. To ensure the safety of our guests, the use of photo arms, more commonly known as “Selfie Sticks,” is strictly prohibited on all rides and attractions on our Midway. “Selfie Sticks” should be left with a non-rider or secured with other loose articles. Guests that do not comply with this policy may be subject to dismissal without refund.

If you have any questions while visiting our Midway, please visit our onsite Guest Services or Offices.

SIZE WIZE
Save time by measuring your child in advance at our SIZE WIZE measuring charts located near our ticket sales. Once you have the correct measurement, look for the SIZE WIZE signs posted at each ride to ensure your child meets the requirements. This will also help with determining which ticket package you will want to purchase.

Clear Bag Policy

  • Clear Bag Policy: In an effort to limit cross-contamination, the CAJUNDOME will be enforcing a clear bag policy at the Cajun Heartland State Fair. Non-clear diaper bags with age appropriate children or non-clear medical bags will be permitted. All bags subject to search. An empty reusable water bottle may also be brought in for use at water fountains.

Sunday, May 26 Senior Sunday EVERY SUNDAY, SENIOR CITIZENS 60 years and older & 2024 Graduating Seniors can save $2 on admission to the Fair.
Monday, May 27 - Thursday, May 30 Military Appreciation Military Appreciation Days – all active military, retired military, and veterans receive a ticket for free admission when they present valid documentation of military service at the admission ticket booth. Spouses of service men and women with a valid Military Spouse ID and accompanying children under the age of 18 also receive discounted admission and save $2 each on admission during the same dates.
Tuesday, May 28 TWOS-DAY! Guests can save while snacking on TWOS-DAYS at the Fair, where participating vendors offer various specials. Get BOGO 1/2 OFF ride wristbands at the CAJUNDOME Box Office (for redemption on May 28 only). Plus, save $2 on your admission ticket when you mention TWOS-DAY at the ticket office.
Wednesday, May 29 Youth Team Night Free admission for youth (12 & under) who head out to the fair in their team or scout group shirt!

All Days FIRST RESPONDERS DISCOUNT The Cajun Heartland State Fair would like to thank our country’s first responders with a day honoring our various active and retired public law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, and other emergency services agencies. All first responders can save $2 OFF admission tickets when they present a valid badge or ID card from their department or organization at the gate or online, plus up to three discounted admission tickets for their family members.
