Security & Clear Bag Policy

Security Policies:

  • Metal detectors are in use at the Fair entrance. 
  • All bags, strollers, etc., are subject to search
  • No pocket knives, firearms, pepper spray, etc., are permitted on the grounds. You must be 21 or older to carry a vape pen or tobacco products. 
  • We welcome all youth to the Cajun Heartland State Fair, however, youth 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older daily. 

LAWN CHAIRS: Fans can bring in lawn chairs but chairs/carrying bags are subject to search

Clear Bag Policy: The CAJUNDOME will be enforcing a clear bag policy at the Cajun Heartland State Fair. Non-clear diaper bags with age appropriate children or non-clear medical bags will be permitted. All bags subject to search. An empty reusable water bottle may also be brought in for use at water fountains.

  • 5" x 7" or smaller non-clear purse or clutch allowed
  • Clear tote bag or purse, no larger than 12" x 12" x 6"

Parking & Admission

FREE PARKING: Friday, May 23rd- Sunday, June 1st

  • FREE Parking is Available at Cajun Field throughout the Fair

ADMISSION: 

  • Daily General Admission $5; 5 & Under Free Admission

    • Admission Fee is $10 on Friday & Saturday nights starting at 7 PM.

  • No Re-Entry, Clear Bag Policy

  • Admission Gate Closes One Hour Prior to Ride Close

  • EARLY BIRD SAVINGS: Purchase Your Admission Tickets Early and Save! Purchase 4 admission tickets for only $15 now through May 22.  

Military Service Members Admission 

  • Members of the Military can receive free admission for themselves and their immediate family to the Cajun Heartland State Fair on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th, and save $2 on admission tickets on any day of the fair when when you present your active Military ID at the admission ticket booth.

  • Dan Dan the Farmer Man
    • Dan-Dan and his Sarcastic Sidekick trade Farmyard Funnies, sing Silly Songs and interact with the Audience. When the Cornball Clodhopper cranks up his Crop-Quenching Contraption, these Rural Rubes conjure up a Crowd Cooling Cloudburst

  • Dragon Training Academy
    • Watch as inventor & time traveler Brock Barnabas visits the present time to recruit some adventurous kids to travel back to the Medieval times. They train to help deal with an overpopulation of dragons!  Kids are trained to both defend against and tame down dragons using Brock's amazing science-based inventions and techniques.

    • Step back in time to meet up to 8 of your favorite dinosaurs. During the show, you can expect to see a baby dinosaur hatch, witness how we train dinosaurs, and even have a 12ft, 2000 lb velociraptor play hide and seek with a few lucky kids. Have life-sized fun when you visit our 50-foot brachiosaurus named Tiny, a 22-foot triceratops named Fluffy, and Thumper, a beautiful 20-foot ankylosaurus.

Safety Rules & Height Requirements

Please be advised that children under 42” may be required to ride some of the rides with a paying adult.

OUR RIDES

  • For your Safety, all rides have height requirements.
  • Follow all posted signage and please listen to the instructions given by the ride operator at all times.
  • Remain seated and restrained and keep your arms, legs and head inside the ride at all times.
  • Remove all loose articles, such as sunglasses, cell phones, hats, open-toed shoes and jewelry that may have the potential to fall off during the ride. We are not responsible for lost articles.
  • NO SELFIE STICKS. To ensure the safety of our guests, the use of photo arms, more commonly known as “Selfie Sticks,” is strictly prohibited on all rides and attractions on our Midway. “Selfie Sticks” should be left with a non-rider or secured with other loose articles. Guests that do not comply with this policy may be subject to dismissal without refund.

If you have any questions while visiting our Midway, please visit our onsite Guest Services or Offices.

SIZE WIZE
Save time by measuring your child in advance at our SIZE WIZE measuring charts located near our ticket sales. Once you have the correct measurement, look for the SIZE WIZE signs posted at each ride to ensure your child meets the requirements. This will also help with determining which ticket package you will want to purchase.
