Graduation Exempt from Mayor's 200 Person Event Restriction

Lafayette Consolidated Government

June 27 at 5:21 PM ·

UPDATE TO EMERGENCY ORDER: Religious institutions conducting religious services, planned performances at the Heymann Performing Arts Center, and High School Graduation ceremonies scheduled at the Cajundome have instituted plans to protect the health and well-being of attendees and workers - including maintaining low capacity, social distancing, temperature checks, wearing of masks and disinfecting - and therefore are not subject to the 200-person restriction.

Places of business during their ordinary scope and course of operations are not subject to the limitations of the June 26, 2020 declaration.

As this is a continually changing health crisis, the Mayor-President will continue to evaluate and assess the situation and will continue to adjust the guidelines and restrictions as necessary.

All other terms and provisions of the June 26, 2020 order of Mayor-President Guillory remain in full force and effect.
